A Republican governor calling John Alario "conservative" strikes some as odd.

Statewide talk Radio host Moon Griffon has pointed out that years ago, the Louisiana Republican party was after John Alario and running attack ads against him. Griffon now wonders: why is the G.O.P. not speaking up now?

The ad below was paid for by the Republican party in 2007. In the ad, the Louisiana Republican party accuses Alario of criminal corruption, conspiracy, and coercion.

Now that Governor Jindal is endorsing him for president, the GOP is largely silent.
